Today, we’re introducing text to frame, a new Aura feature that lets you share those photos to a loved one’s frame simply by texting them—no app required.
Whether it's grandparents across the country or a friend who doesn’t want to download another app, text to frame makes it effortless for anyone you invite to add photos to your frame’s library from wherever they are. If they can text, they can share.
Why we built text to frame
Families already stay connected through messaging—sharing tiny snapshots of daily life as they happen. But those memories often stay stuck in text threads, where they’re easy to lose or forget.
Text to frame brings those shared photos into your home, where they can be seen, enjoyed, and remembered.
We designed this feature to make photo sharing intuitive for everyone:
Invite your favorite people. Frame owners can invite others using the Aura app. Once contributors are invited, they can text photos to the frame without having to download the app themselves.
Keep frames filled with fresh memories. Photos sent by text are instantly added to your frame’s library, keeping it up-to-date with the latest moments.
Stay connected across any distance. Kids, parents, and grandparents can share to one or many frames when texting with Aura—just specify the frame to which you want to send photos.
It’s private and personal. Only invited contacts can text photos to your frame, which are securely sent and stored in the Aura cloud.

How it works
Getting started takes less than a minute.
1. Attach a phone number to your Aura Frames account in the app.
2. Add the contacts you want to invite to your frame.
3. Anyone you invite can then text a photo (or many photos), and they will automatically appear in your frame’s library.
