Resetting Your Frame

Before resetting your Aura Frame we'd like to remind you that performing a reset will remove all of your photos and erase your frame's settings.

Follow the steps below to reset your frame using the Aura App:

  1. Open the Aura App.

  2. Tap on the 'Frames' tab on the top right.

  3. Tap 'Members' under the frame in which you'd like to reset.

  4. If you are the sole contributor to your frame, jump to step 7.

  5. Tap into each member to first remove them from the frame by clicking on their email address under 'Frame Members'.

  6. Next, tap the icon in the top right (three small dots) and select the option that says 'Remove From Frame', then confirm by selecting 'Remove'.

  7. Now that your email is the only one listed under 'Frame Members', tap on your name and click the icon on the top right (three small dots) and select the option that says 'Leave & Factory Reset Frame', then confirm by selecting 'Reset'.

  8. Once reset the frame will no longer appear in your Aura app.

Tip: Resetting your frame in the app will erase all photos and frame settings however the frame will remain connected to it's WiFi network. If you would like to remove the WiFi network from the frame, you'll need to perform a hard reset (outlined below).

Follow the steps below to reset your frame without the Aura App (hard reset):

Classic Aura frame

  1. Keep your Aura frame plugged in.

  2. Locate the reset button on the back of the frame between the two power input holes; using a paperclip or toothpick, hold down the button for 10 seconds.

  3. The display will turn off and say "Erasing."

  4. Wait until the frame powers back up again.

  5. A new set of 4 numbers will appear on the frame's display along with text instructing you to open the app and set up your frame.

Modern or Wood Aura frame

  1. Keep your Aura Frame plugged in.

  2. Place the frame face down on a flat surface and remove the stand from the back (keep the power cord plugged in).

  3. Locate the reset button on the outside rim of the square that surrounds the input hole; using a tool like a paperclip, hold down the button for 10 seconds.

  4. The display will turn off and say "Erasing."

  5. Wait until the frame powers back up again.

  6. A new set of 4 numbers will appear on the frame's display along with text instructing you to open the app and set up your frame.

Tip: If you're resetting the Modern or Wood frame, you can find the reset button by twisting the stand slightly to the left while leaving the frame plugged in, rather than removing the stand entirely.
