Connecting to Bluetooth

When first setting up your Aura digital frame and connecting it to WiFi, bluetooth is required in order to send the WiFi credentials from your phone to the frame. This is happening at the step where the frame displays a 4-digit number and you're looking for that same 4-digit number to appear in the app.

If you don't see the 4-digit number in the app, please take these additional steps to ensure your device's bluetooth is working properly.

For iOS 13 devices it may look like bluetooth is turned 'on' under the general settings on your phone however additional steps need to take place to allow permissions for Aura to access your bluetooth.

Follow the steps below to ensure your bluetooth permissions are turned on:

  1. Exit the Aura App.

  2. Locate the Settings app on your iOS device.

  3. Scroll to where you see 'Privacy', tap here.

  4. Scroll to where you see 'Bluetooth', tap here.

  5. Ensure the Aura app is toggled to green.

  6. Go back to your general Settings and scroll to the top.

  7. Ensure the third option down 'Bluetooth' displays 'on' to the right.

  8. Next, open the Aura app and proceed with connecting your frame to WiFi.

For Android devices Recent updates to Android affecting Bluetooth LE technology requires location permissions to be granted in order to use the Aura app.
